ANSYS Webinars

Power Electronics for Hybrid & Electric Vehicles

Tuesday, July 24, 2012
4:00 pm EDT, 8:00 pm GMT (REGISTER HERE)

Thursday, July 26, 2012
9:00 am EDT, 1:00 pm GMT (REGISTER HERE)

Electric drives are found in many areas of transportation and industrial automation; they cover power ranges from fractional to thousands of horsepower and beyond. The trend of incorporating more power electronics in mechatronic applications will continue and even accelerate due to significant benefits of weight and cost reduction, increased reliability of electrical systems, and convenient control and automation via electric and electronic means.

Ask the Expert – External Data Mapping in ANSYS Workbench & Mechanical 14.0

Wednesday, July 25, 2012
9:00 am EDT, 1:00 pm GMT (REGISTER HERE)

With the growing emphasis on multiphysics simulations throughout many industries, the need to map data from one application into an independent ANSYS Mechanical analysis is continually increasing. The results from many simulations are required as input to downstream Mechanical simulations. On the ANSYS Workbench platform, the external data component system can be used to directly map this data in ANSYS 14.0. Some types of data that can be mapped to ANSYS Mechanical include temperature from a thermal Mechanical analysis, pressure from a CFD analysis and heat generation from an ANSYS Emag analysis.

This webinar will explain how to use external data to map results from various analysis types and products into ANSYS Mechanical and how to validate the mapping. It will begin with a short presentation. After the presentation, a panel of experts from the ANSYS development and Technical services groups will answer questions live via WebEx.

Learn How Mesh Morphing Accelerates CFD-Driven Shape Modifications

Thursday, July 26, 2012
1:00 pm EDT, 5:00 pm GMT (REGISTER HERE)

This webinar will inform you how you can drastically reduce the simulation time to complete a set of design changes, without the burden of regenerating a geometry or mesh. RBF Morph is a unique mesh morpher that combines the very accurate control of geometric parameters with extremely fast mesh deformation, all fully integrated with the ANSYS Fluent solving process and Workbench Platform. Industrial application examples regarding External Aerodynamics, Multi-Phase and Internal Flows will be shown.
