We have a plethora of ANSYS webinars, face-to-face seminars and workshops this week. For instance, if you’re in or around Washington, DC for the NAFEMS North America Conference, we’d love to have you stop by our booth and say hello.
Below you’ll find a more comprehensive listing of ANSYS webinars and seminars. Make sure you register today for the events you’d like to attend.
Ask the Expert – Model Order Reduction: Icepak-Simplorer Coupling and Beyond
Wednesday, September 12, 2012
4:00 pm EDT, 8:00 pm GMT (REGISTER)
There are a few model order reduction (MOR) techniques available. This presentation focuses on MOR using the linear and time-invariant (LTI) technology. The currently implemented Icepak-Simplorer coupling uses this technology. This presentation starts with fundamentals of the LTI technology. It then shows a few examples of LTI in different disciplines including battery cooling, electronics cooling, mechanical oscillator, electromagnetic oscillator and Newman electrochemistry models. Two demos from two different disciplines will be given at the end of the presentation to show the process of using the LTI for MOR.
Engineering Simulation Solutions for the Oil & Gas Industry
Thursday, September 13, 2012
15:00-16:00 CEST, 14:00-15:00 BST, 09:00-10:00 EDT (REGISTER)
Engineering simulation software from ANSYS is playing an increasingly critical role, enabling oil and gas engineers to create virtual prototypes and capture new knowledge about the detailed workings of their equipment and processes. ANSYS CAE
solutions are widely used in the oil and gas industry to perform fluid dynamics and structural mechanics simulations. This has opened new frontiers for these engineers, enabling them to replicate and test their designs for ultra deep sea environments and other physically remote terrains – without the high cost and human risk associated with conducting physical experiments.
Please join us for this free webinar to be updated on recent applications of the ANSYS software in the oil and gas industry, including topics such as:
- Flow assurance – ensuring the success of the fluid journey from reservoir to topsides
- Gas dispersion and smoke analysis – quantifying the risk of explosion and fire on an offshore platform
- Drillbit and formation simulations
