Improving the uniformity of cooling flow in battery cells is important for uniform heat extraction as well as to maintain uniform temperature in the cells. The mesh morpher/optimizer feature of ANSYS Fluent 14.0 can morph the inlet plenum of a battery so that flow rates at battery channel exits are almost uniform.
