Last night I ran across news that Lockheed Martin has been awarded a new contract to modernize the USN MH-60 fleet. You might recall that back in early January we published a blog post entitled Ready For Reset that discussed how stakes for the defense contractors bidding for this type of upgrade and repair work could not be higher in today’s climate of reducing defense contracts and increasing fiscal, schedule and quality metrics.
